OK. We all have things on our ‘to-do’ and ‘to-be’ lists.

You know, the little tasks or activities that just need to be done and won’t go away.

Here’s a great little ‘hack’ to start making inroads into this ever-present list, which comes in 2 parts.

Part 1: View these tasks as challenges, rather than chores.

Research supports the notion that we are more likely to act when something is presented as a challenge than if we view it as a chore.

Part 2: Make a list of all tasks which could be completed in under 10-minutes.

This can include anything from changing a light globe, to sorting your email inbox. Be sure to include enough space to put a ‘tick’ when completed. 

As most of us know, action begets action, suggesting that once we initiate action on one of these items, the flow-on effect takes hold.

Go on. Take the challenge. Sort that sock drawer once and for all!
