I’m convinced that it was the catchy title of Robin Sharma’s book that first alerted me to his wisdom and ability to share powerful messages using stories and metaphors. I mean, “The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari”has got to grab your attention when looking for something to read at the airport bookstore, doesn’t it!

Sharma is considered one of the world’s most sought-after authorities on leadership and mastery. So, when he shares his ‘6 Magic Words’ that place him in a better state, the world tends to listen.

From the author himself: “Often, I repeat words. Yep, strange, I’ll agree. I’ll just say them aloud. Or write them in my journal. Or sing them to the ceiling. To infuse my subconscious and reprogram my faulty programming. That’s why I do this thing that I do. Words have the power to remake you into the best version of yourself.”

The 6 words Sharma recites most often:

Growth – It’s about remembering that you are built to evolve and destined to rise.

Mastery – This demands that we refuse the warm bed on a cold morning of accepting average.

Bravery – Requires us to lean into the places that terrify us.

Family – Reminds us that a life without love makes us an empty vessel.

Beauty – Speaks to the wonder and awe that we can find right in front of us, when we look.

Charity – This can amplify a devotion to helpfulness.

Sharma’s strategy is like a manifestation yet adds the element of tapping into the spoken word and then acting upon it.

Your choice of words is up to you, and Sharma’s advice makes it more acceptable to start talking to ourselves again.
